My Deviantart Story

Hey guys, today is Deviantart's 14th Birthday and I am here to celebrate it by talking about my story on how I joined deviantart.

It all started back in 2010, I began searching some Sonic the Hedgehog fanart through Google Images. What I realized that some of the pictures there were fan made and they all came from this website. When I saw that anyone can join on this site, I thought it would be fun to do. What made me decide to join? Well since I was searching for some pictures from Sonic Underground , I saw some great artwork from an artist here named RianaLD. I got me really inspired the more I saw her work and it also made me motivated to do a lot of things and trying out other stuff other than Sonic fan art. So one day I messaged her by e-mail and asked her a lot of questions and how she made me inspired to draw more. I used to draw a lot when I was a kid and grew up and still enjoy drawing until this point. I wanted to prove myself if many people like to see my art since I drew traditionally in the past and a lot of my friends enjoyed it. So after thinking about it, I finally decided to join Deviantart in September 2011 and that's where I began.

My first digital picture I drew here on DA was my main character Domestic the Hedgehog.
I drew a lot of Sonic fan characters back in 2010 because everyone here was doing that and I wasn't a member at the time. Out of all the characters I had, I ended up using her. She was so unmain but I bother to put here as my main character in my account. To this point, I am surprised to see how much people likes my character Domestic

Since I was new at the time, I was asking for other drawers to draw my characters but it was kinda difficult because a lot of people I asked for were really busy. I also started to draw some pictures in MS paint when I started in September because I didn't had Sai or Photoshop to make my pictures look good, plus I wanted to improve my drawing skills digitally. When I first got my tablet, I found it kinda difficult to draw on the computer and I almost wanted to quit and draw more on paper because it was easier, but I then decided not to give up and keep practicing and my practice paid off in the end because it now looks better. During October, I wanted people to know me by taking request for the whole month of October. I must say that it did the trick because not only I took request for other people, but I also met a lot of great friends around that time and they have been supportive on my work since today. Thanks guys
Oh and during that time, that's where I met Alex

In the beginning of 2012, I manage to finally have Paint tool Sai and started drawing pictures a lot better. Since I kept improving, I got motivated to draw more and sometimes, great artists inspire me to draw more as well. Since I was having fun drawing on Sai, I took the opportunity to take point commissions as well as Art trades. I have met more people along the way and I did started to draw MLP a little bit where I got curious to see how it will come out. Not to mention, I drew Mario characters as well but it wasn't my first time. I used to draw them a lot when I was a kid, which I can say that I was a huge Mario fan back then lol I was not at school at the time so I drew a lot that year and later in the half of the year, Alex told me that he loved me and became boyfriend and girlfriend. Ha ha ha I would never forget what happened that day. Ever since I met him in 2011, he has been a great and awesome person to talk to and he is very supportive on everything I do. I am so glad and happy to have him in my life <3 I really, really hope that we get to see each other very soon!

In 2013, I kept drawing more pictures, point commissions and other stuff. There was nothing much going on since it was kinda the same as last year where I met new people. It got me thinking that I should go to college soon and move on with my life. In any event, I also started watching some flash animations on youtube and guess what? I wanted to do that as well Though I never had the time or the chance to do them because I had other stuff to do on DA. I then decided to get the Flash program and would like to animate. Who knows? Maybe I can become a good animator in the future. I like to take chances

Well finally in 2014, I ended up going to college in the first semester but just because I go to school, does now mean I will not continue to do art here. No way! Drawing is what I always love doing and I always enjoy it. I can't wait to finish college soon and hopefully I get to animate something in Flash so I can show it on youtube. It just takes time and patience to do all that but I know I will succeed With everyone's support, I can do anything!

Oh last thing I want to mention is that at this point, Alex and I created a story since last year where we are now creating today. The story is called "Demagia: Rise of the Sapphire Kingdom" It is still in work in progress but for now, I will just be doing their designs, backgrounds, and doodles from our story. Not to mention that this is a great opportunity for me to draw humans for more practice since I wasn't good at drawing them before. :/ The story will be done in a comic so it would be better and awesome to read. I hope that you guys find the story enjoyable once I get started on it.
